Powerful features of the Banjo plug-in:
Legally-binding signatures
The Banjo plug-in complies with the Electronic Signatures in Global and
National Commerce Act (US E-SIGN Act). Signatures created with the
plug-in carry the same legal weight as a handwritten signature, and can
provide much better security.
User-defined signature appearance
No other digital signature software offers this level of flexibility,
precision, and control over the way your digital signature will
look. Signature appearances can be customized with an image of your
written signature, imported graphics, user-controlled fonts and text
sizes, and dynamically-updated fields such as the date and time. And
all of this can be positioned and scaled to line up exactly as needed on
your signed PDF.
Immediate visual feedback
When any alteration, no matter how small, is made to a signed document,
the signature immediately changes to alert you.
High security
The Banjo plug-in complies with strict Adobe Acrobat standards for
creating, securing, and verifying signatures. Your personal
information is protected with world-class encryption, and all access to
signature profiles is
password controlled. Once a document is signed, the digital
signature is bound to that document and neither the signature nor the
document can be changed without invalidating the signature.
Ease of use
Designed for simplicity, the Banjo plug-in does all the hard work of
creating a secure and customized digital signature. From the
appearance of the signature to the way it will be checked and displayed,
you are always in control but never burdened with technical details.
Flexible signing methods
In addition to the standard Adobe Acrobat signing tools, the Banjo
plug-in provides unique, patent-pending methods of signing documents that can greatly
increase efficiency. The Click-SignTM
method allows you to sign a document with just one click, and it
preserves the defined scale of your signature appearance. Batch
Signing allows multiple, separate PDFs to be signed in one operation.
And with Multi-SignTM mode
you can sign several pages of a multi-page document at once -- a task that
could take hours using other digital signature tools can be completed in
seconds using the Banjo plug-in.
Multiple user profiles
Many different people can use the plug-in. Each user can have a
separate password-protected profile, where the signature appearance and option settings are
stored. And one user can have several different profiles as well --
one for signing contracts, for instance, and a different set of options
for approving drawings.
Microsoft Windows certificate stores
Microsoft Windows provides a powerful and secure method of managing
digital certificates (or digital IDs), which are an essential part of the
digital signature process. The Banjo plug-in works with this
management system so that all your certificates, whatever you use them
for, can be kept in one secure location. And Smart Cards or Public
Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems that use the Windows certificate stores
will work with the Banjo plug-in as well.
Compatible with X.509 digital certificates
The X.509 format is the standard for digital certificates issued by
Certification Authorities such as VeriSign, Identrus, and others.
The Banjo plug-in integrates seamlessly with these certificates, as well
as with the simpler (and less expensive) self-signed certificates.
Allows multiple signatures -- or only one
Some documents require approval by several people. Others should
show only one signature. The choice is yours, and the Banjo plug-in
works either way to give you the flexibility and security you need.
No special hardware
You do not need to purchase special signing pads, fingerprint readers,
or USB keys. And no expensive server software or other applications
are needed either. With just the Banjo plug-in and Adobe Acrobat you
will be ready to start creating digital signatures.
