The PDFCreator Printer Driver

LineType Software, Inc. is not the developer or owner of the PDFCreator print driver.  This information is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  LineType Software, Inc. does not provide application support for PDFCreator and will in no way be responsible for its use by customers .

PDFCreator is an open-source (free) printer driver that can be used from any Windows application to create TIFF, JPEG, PDF, and other image files.  It installs as a virtual printer and can be selected as the output device for the "Print" command from any Windows application.

PDFCreator is useful as a companion to the Banjo plug-in and the Banjo Verify plug-in.  With PDFCreator, a reprographer or print shop can create a TIFF image of the signed PDF file as an intermediate step in printing a signed PDF document.  This is often useful when the print shop uses plot management software such as PlotWorks or ReproDesk to drive its printers.  See Information for Reprographers for details on this process.

There are several settings that should be specified before using PDFCreator to make TIFF or JPEG files from signed PDFs.  See the appendix in the help file documentation for the Banjo plug-in with Batch Print or the Banjo Verify plug-in with Batch Print.
