Press Release
LineType Software, Inc. Updates
PDF-Based Digital Signature Tool for AEC Professionals
Banjo Plug-in now offers compatibility with Version 8 of Adobe
Acrobat and Adobe ReaderNashville, TN -- January 8, 2007 -- LineType Software, Inc., a
developer of electronic document tools for design professionals, today
announced the release of an updated version of the Banjo Digital Signature
plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. The new release
provides full compatibility with versions 5.0 through 8.0 of Adobe Acrobat
and Adobe Reader.
The Banjo plug-in offers unique formatting and security capabilities
that allow users to customize the graphic appearance associated with a
digital signature to comply with licensing board standards for signing and
sealing construction drawings and specifications. Any alteration to
a signed document will cause the signature to be immediately and visibly
invalidated.
"Architects and engineers across the country have come to rely on
the Banjo plug-in as a way to simply and securely apply digital seals and
signatures to their documents," says John TeSelle, AIA, president of
LineType Software, Inc. "We are pleased to extend support to
version 8.0 of Acrobat, and we look forward to working with our clients to
improve their productivity with this new release."
The Banjo plug-in builds on the strengths of the Portable Document
Format (PDF) developed by Adobe Systems, Inc. In addition to being
universally accepted and understood as an electronic document format, PDF
is an excellent solution for architectural and engineering documents.
A PDF preserves fonts, line weights, and drawing scale and can be printed
by any reprographer or copy shop anywhere in the world.
The upgrade is free to registered users of the plug-in. For more information about
new licenses, visit the LineType Software website at www.linetype.com.
